Networking

Banner

University of California, Riverside is positioned to provide a wide range of network connectivity solutions to researchers. In the very near future we will be able to provide connectivity to the HPR L1 and L2 networks and through them to Internet2 DCN and NLR Framenet and Wavenet.

Currently, Computing and Communications (C&C) provides the following services to campus researchers.

Network Analysis or Performance Testing of Applications

Network Services will help troubleshoot the networked applications that are used by UCR's researchers. Network Services will also analyze and provide recommendations to departments IT staff.

Network Design

Network services will help design layer 1, 2, or 3 private networks for research computing needs in labs, in data center environments, across campus or between campuses. We will also offer assistance in infrastructure planning to include space, electrical power and cooling for cluster equipment.

Temporary Networking for Short Term Events

Network Services will create wired or wireless networks to support short term research needs.
